It is the only surviving London building from the reign of Edward I (1239-1307). \u00a0Although a Roman Catholic church again since 1874, in 1836-7, it was an Anglican Church, in the care of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/meeseeks:5080\/blog\/2011\/03\/the-matherati-alexander-darblay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alexander d&#8217;Arblay<\/a>.
