B. Martini and Corale Convivium Musicum, playing the following programme:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vivaldi:\u00a0 <em>Sinfonia al Santo Sepolcro<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Schubert:\u00a0 <em>6 Antifone per al Domenica della Palme<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Haydn:\u00a0 da <em>Le Sette Parole di Cristo in Croce<\/em>:\u00a0 <em>Introduzione, Pater,<\/em> and <em>Terremoto<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The string quartet comprised\u00a0 Cesare Carretta (1st), Stefano Chiarotti (2nd), Margherita Fanton (viola), and Antonio Mostacci (&#8216;cello).<br \/>\nThe acoustics of the crypt were surprisingly good:\u00a0 despite the stone walls and columns, the low, curved ceilings bounced the sound around the chamber, and the crowd absorbed it well.\u00a0 Perhaps all the palm fronds being waved helped.\u00a0 The music was performed well, although the concert was over in under 30 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We were left wanting more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another concert caught in Bologna this past weekend was a short concert for Palm Sunday in the Crypt of the Basilica of San Pietro.\u00a0 The music was by Quartetto d&#8217;Archi G.
